Medjugorje is a parish in Bosnia-Herzcegovina, where it is claimed that Our Blessed Mother has been appearing on a daily basis since June 24th 1981. Over twenty million people have traveled to there in those years. Each month Our Lady has a special message and always she calls for us to pray for peace. It is no coincidence that such prayers are being said in a part of the world that known great conflict and war. Indeed, there would appear also to be  great need to pray for peace within the Church there also where there would appear to be considerable conflict between the Franciscans and the local bishop.

Many people have had extraordinary experiences and conversions here, some of them very dramatic. One could not but be impressed by the devotion and prayer that takes place in Medjugorje. The Vatican is still investigating the apparitions and we will have to wait for its final judgement.
